PHIsiklaban 2011
by John Carlo Bernal Reyes PHI '11
Heavy downpour of mishaps will never stop the brods and sisses of the Phi Kappa Mu Fraternity and Phi Lambda Delta Sorority from sweating, playing and enjoying in the annual PHIsiklaban sports fest held last November 5, 2011 at the humble abode of Brod Dennis Raymond Leoncio Sacdalan ɸ’10.
Amidst the rain, four teams, namely, blue, yellow orange and violet, out-played each other in six games testing their strategy, teamwork and group dynamics. First, the teams displayed their artistic talents in the team mascot and cheer competition. Second, the teams danced and balanced each other out in the Manila paper dance. Third, looking through who was behind a barrier and then identifying each brod or sis was still a challenge for all. Fourth, the junior brods were lucky enough to be sat upon on their lap by the beautiful sisses during the trip to Jerusalem game. Fifth, the teams showed much team effort during the food relay. The last game for the night was the much awaited treasure hunt. Although all of the teams were not able to complete the 8-piece puzzle, one team, the orange team, won first place. The games were followed by a delicious dinner and barbeque.
Congratulations to Brod Abdel Hadi Malali Mohammad Isa ɸ’10 for the success of PHIsiklaban 2011! All for PHI!
