UP Manila Intercollege Battle of the Bands Competition

Last November 22, 2011, the Phi Kappa Mu Fraternity and Phi Lambda Delta Sorority held One Big Phi 2011: Fired Up! an event to showcase the future of the fraternity and sorority, presenting the newest additions to our roster. This year, PHI takes the OBP to even greater heights by bringing it to the whole University of the Philippines Manila; organizing an Intercollege Battle of the Bands competition and featuring two of the biggest OPM bands: Tonight We Sleep and Urbandub.

Various healthcare facilities get a jumpstart with an upgrade through PHI Live

Now in its second year, PHI Live has upgraded into not only providing modern LCD monitors but also modern CPU units to upgrade outdated computer equipment. Last October 3, 2011, the first batch of monitors and CPUs were donated to the different departments of the Philippine General Hospital at a turnover ceremony during the PGH flag ceremony in the presence of the PGH director Brod Jose Castillo Gonzales PHI 69.

Brod Manny Agulto PHI '69A Appointed as New UP Manila Chancellor

Congratulations Brod Manuel Bautista Agulto, PHI '69A, for being appointed as the new UP Manila Chancellor starting November 1, 2011 by the UP Board of Regents! 

Brod Manny will be the third Phi Kappa Mu brod to become UP Manila Chancellor, continuing the proud legacy of leadership started by Brods Florentino B. Herrera, Jr., PHI '37, (the first Chancellor of UP Manila, founder of UP School of Health Sciences) and Alfredo T. Ramirez, PHI '56 (Father of Burn Surgery in the Philippines).
